the making of MeyyafushiOn an island of soft sands and whispering waves, Meyya lived with his Maama. Each day unfolded like a page in a book, the land and sea offering lessons to those who listened. Maama, with her wisdom rooted in the earth, began each morning with a call to the shore: “Meyya, my dhariyaa, let the land speak to you. Its voice carries the wisdom of corals, the dance of flowers, and the songs of birds. Be kind to all—the soil, the sea, the guests, and the skies above. Kindness binds us to this land.”
Getting Here
Arrival
Your first Meyyafushi experience begins with your arrival at Velana International Airport where our airport Resident will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall, holding a “Meyyafushi Maldives” placard. Following your arrival, our airport Resident will escort you to the seaplane terminal, a short 5 minute trip in a shuttle bus. The day time flight to Meyyafushi Maldives is an exciting 35 minutes' journey, flying over the beautiful archipelago and witnessing the mesmerizing views of the atolls and island formations.
Departure
Your Resident Host will share your departure details on the evening prior to your departure day. To ensure a smooth and stress-free transfer, we kindly request all guests to visit the Reception the night before departure to review and settle any outstanding bills. This helps avoid last-minute delays and allows for a seamless journey from the island to the airport. On the day of departure, our Airport Host will meet and assist you at the Velana International Airport and guide you to your international departure gate.
